David Alexander is a graduate of Moncton Minor Hockey system, winning Provincial and Atlantic championships and later moving on to a successful career in the OPJJHL where he played for 3 seasons. His previous experiences include 4 years Goaltending Coach with the MMAAA Fredericton Canadiens where he played a significant role in the development of Jake Allen (NHL St. Louis Blues).

Shortly after, David moved on to work with the NCAA University of Maine Black Bears as a goaltending coach and after 4 years there, was hired by the Tampa Bay Lightening as goaltending/video coach with their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.  Following a successful 4 year career with Syracuse, ending with theCrunch competing for the AHL Championship Calder Cup, David was offered a position as goaltending coach with the NHL St. Louis Blues, a position which he presently holds.
